Adam CK Vollick is a Nashville-based director and cinematographer with 25 years behind the camera, working across high-end brand films, commercials, live broadcast, and documentary.
He's Emmy and Grammy nominated, with credits on Netflix, HBO, and Hulu. He directs multi-camera live coverage at the largest music festivals in North America — Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Stagecoach, BottleRock — where the margin for error is zero and nothing stops for a second take. He's worked for over fifteen years with Neil Young, and with Jason Isbell, Daniel Lanois, Daryl Hannah, and the late Jonathan Demme.
For brand work, that background is the point. Cinema cameras and a broadcast-grade crew, run with the discipline of a live show: a schedule that holds, a set that stays calm, and footage that looks like film rather than content. He's as comfortable directing a scripted spot as he is capturing something unrepeatable on the first take.
What carries across all of it is a way of working. He makes people comfortable enough to be themselves on camera, then knows when to hold the shot and let something real happen. That instinct is the same whether the subject is a headliner in front of 40,000 people, a founder walking a factory floor, or a family business three generations in.
He also finishes what he starts — edit, color, and finishing in DaVinci Resolve and Fusion, delivered to broadcast spec. One director from the first conversation to the final master, with no handoffs where the intent gets lost.
Outside of client work, he's a farmer, an experimental photographer and video artist with a long-running interest in time as a design element. Long takes, slow accumulation, what a frame gives up when you leave it alone.
